"Loganstone" is the name of the lighter that took Magnesia (Marble)
to the Whorl. I got a little bothered about the name yesterday, so I
did a Google search and came up with

<http://www.quinion.com/words/weirdwords/ww-log1.htm>
<http://www.pitt.edu/~dash/monuments.html>.

It's an old English name for a rocking stone, with Druidic/magical
associations. There's a famous one in Cornwall.

The name fits in with the motions attributed to landers, and also
fits in with the provenance of the Whorl as an asteriod.
