The puzzle is only to figure out what it's doing in this place. It's
pretty clear why the story of Dr. Death is present in "The Island of
Doctor Death and Other Stories"; it's a little less clear why the
"brown book" stories are present in tBotNS, but there's no doubt in
anyone's mind that they're fiction and that they're there for a good
and sufficient reason. A Story by "John V. Marsch" is hard, hard, but
I think it reasonable to suppose it may be fiction and there for a
purpose.

Note I'm not saying it _is_ fiction, just that, _if_ it is, that's
not a basically or inherently sterile concept.
